Biography
Carolyn is currently enrolled in a PhD at the University of New England (UNE) where she is researching the effects of environmental contaminants and agricultural practices on the European honey bee (Apis mellifera). Carolyn is a beekeeper, queen bee raiser, the Biosecurity Officer of the New England Amateur Beekeeping Association, and has managed UNE’s apiary. Carolyn also provides an advocate service to members of the NSW Apiarists’ Association, affected by mining and other environmental impacts.
